Not everyone wants to be a butterfly. These are plush dragon wings with glittered accents, cut in a scalloped bat-wing shape rather than the rounded petal shape of fairy wings, and they read as dragon from across the room.
They are soft-bodied rather than wired, which matters more than it sounds. Wired costume wings hold a dramatic shape for about a week and then bend, snag and start poking through the fabric. These stay soft, so they survive being worn indoors, sat on, thrown in a corner and slept in. Elastic shoulder straps go on without help, which means a four-year-old can put them on alone and take them off when they have had enough.
Popular for Halloween, for dress-up boxes, and for the kid who has firmly rejected every princess costume offered so far. Douglas item #50597.
